The Haywood Foundation aims to improve the wellbeing of local people with arthritis and related conditions by promoting and funding local research with the field of rheumatology. It develops local facilities for patients. For example we provided the funds for a Dexa scanner for measuring bone density - an essential tool in helping with the diagnosis of osteoporosis.
We provide support for the education and development of health professionals who are dedicated to the care of people living with arthritis.
Additionally, we provide support for the education and health promotion of people with arthritis as well as information and guidance for their carers.
